It's like getting a tattoo... Hurts a lot worse taking it off than it did putting it on!

Those are wise words from Pappy! He is my brothers' friend, and has cerebral palsy. He also is kicking my ass in the gym! That's right, I have been going to the gym regularly ( starting this week) and my "personal trainer" is in a wheel chair. Talk about MOTIVATION! I can't whine, or complain, when he is telling me what to do, I mean he is in a wheel chair and can kick some booty in the gym. So I can only imagine what he would say if I come off with my knee hurts, I'm tired, or whatever else I want to complain about at the moment. The boy can't walk, has muscle spasms that are so painful and can last for hours, and I never once have heard him complain about anything. He doesn't let is disability get in the way of every day life. He makes the most of the situation and has such a great spirit about him! Truly one amazing and inspirational guy!

I didn't plan on Pappy helping me out at the gym. We just kind of happened to run into each other  at the gym yesterday and he offered to help me out. I kind of brushed it off the first time he asked, thinking I knew what I was doing. But oh boy was I wrong! I was doing it all wrong!!! I am now lifting more weight than I ever thought I was capable of! Running longer distances and times that I thought possible! I have sweat WAY more in the past two days than I think I have my entire time of going to the gym. I have muscles that ache and hurt that I never even knew I had!  AND I FEEL AWESOME! Granted my whole body is  sore! I feel like a mac truck has run over me! However it makes me feel powerful because I know my time in the gym wasn't a waste and that I am actually doing what you are supposed to be doing at a gym, not just showing up and expecting to loose weight!

God has sent this opportunity to me and I am going to take advantage of it! I would never be able to afford an actual personal trainer. They are just way too expensive, and I am ballin' on a budget. A very tiny budget at that!! So to have Pappy offer to help me and spend his time, free of charge, to help me achieve my goals is just amazing! And while I was on the elliptical, I hear Pappy say to my boyfriend ( they both think my struggle and random hand gestures of offing my self are hilarious) Loosing weight is like getting a tattoo, it hurts a lot worse taking it off than it did putting it on .....

Ain't that the truth! But it will all be worth it!

Here's a good laugh for every one.... This is me yesterday... I'm not a happy camper....
