Day Three

I have made the decision I am going to join Weight Watchers on Friday! Although I ate well today, I  still feel like I am not making the best choices or eating the correct portions, so that is where Weight Watchers will come into play!  
While sitting at work today, I made a lit of reasons why I want to loose weight. Here are a few:
1.) Better health
2.) Like what I see in the mirror after a shower
3.) Shop at a normal store
4.) Buy a shirt for under $40 bucks (plus size stores are EXPENSIVE!!!!)
5.) Rock a bathing suit comfortably! 
6.) So I wont get embarrassed when going to the doctor and have to get on the scale 
7.) To help fix my PCOS, so that one day I can start a family of my own 
8.) Hang out with my skinny friends with out constantly comparing my size 
9.) To like a full body photo
10.) TO GO OUT AND DO ALL THE THINGS A NORMAL 23 YEAR OLD GIRL WOULD DO WITH OUT WORRYING IF I AM TOO BIG, IF I WILL FIT, BASICALLY TO BE ABLE TO LIVE MY LIFE WITH OUT THINKING OF MY WEIGHT 24/7

So there are just a few of my reasons. I'll be glad once I get this darn AirCast boot off so I can go to the gym and add some exercise back into my life :0)

Day One

While surfing the web today, while I should of been working, I ran across a blog of one mans weight loss success.  So I thought to myself, hey why not make a blog about your weight loss journey! So here I am about to spill the beans on my weight, the measurements, and what I'm doing to try and shed the pounds! I've really been one to talk about my weight, hoping maybe if I didn't talk about it, people wouldn't notice. What was I thinking, it's kind of hard not to notice 284 pounds. My sophomore year of high school I went from 230lbs to 199lbs. Now at the age of 23 I catch myself at an almost 100lbs weight gain! HOLY BANANAS! So I know I want to loose 100lbs, thats a given, but from there I'm not sure how much more I want to loose. Maybe another 30lbs, or 50lbs, but I will worry about that when the time comes. Right now I am going to set small goals, achieve those and eventually get to my big goal!   This isn't going to be a sprint to the finish line. I know it's going to take A LOT of hard work, dedication, and discipline, but I know I have it in me! Over the past year I have contemplated having Lap Band done. Well I've actually done more than just contemplate, I went through the whole pre-procedure requirements, all the way up to scheduling a surgery date. I've been through this twice, the first time I couldn't afford it, and the second time I got slapped with a 6 month pre-existing condition. So to me, I think it's God's way of saying he doesn't want to go through with the procedure, and to do it myself, the old fashion way!   So that's just what I am going to do, all while posting what I eat, what I do for exercise and monthly, maybe bi-monthly measurements and weekly weigh ins. 
So here are my current measurements: 

Weight: 284.0 lbs
Right Arm: 17 inches
Chest: 51 inches 
Waist:  47 inches
Hips: 57 inches
Right Thigh:  32 inches

Goal weight loss by June 16, 2011 (31 days) : 15LBS!

I cant believe I even had the nerves to post these pictures, usually any photo that shows any part of me from chest down gets cropped, photo shopped, or the "delete" button gets pressed, but that stops today! By the end of this journey I will post full body photos PROUDLY!
